My unique career path has positioned me to effectively wear many hats at the same time. I’m a graduate of Texas A&M University, class of 2000 where I Majored in Economics and Minored in Business. My five years in banking help sharpen my analytical skills and ability to crunch numbers. My two years in construction taught me to not be afraid to get out of my comfort zone while building relationships with customers and vendors alike.After being around the oilfield all my life I finally made the plunge in 2008 after experiencing layoffs in the banking and construction industry. I started out in Inside Sales where I learned the basics but desired to know and contribute more. I taught myself more about the oil and gas industry where I focused on pipe and machining. My position evolved to an Inside/Outside Salesperson and really started building lasting relationships with my customers. I took a job as the Purchasing Manager with a small company where I focused on inventory control and cost reduction.Shortly after that I had the opportunity to move back into sales and management. I became a core team member through hard work and willingness to do whatever it took to get the job done. I constantly analyze our raw material and consigned inventories where we were able to increase our yearly turns on items, with consigned inventories getting 10+ turns a year.I’m lucky to have several great leaders in my life to help guide me in my career and teach me the right way. I have learned that there is no substitute for hard work but that has to be balanced with looking for ways to work smarter. I enjoy the challenge of picking my head out of the daily grind and start looking into the future to see where the company is going.
