I write stories about compassion and grace in our most vulnerable moments. What it’s like to experience a catastrophic complication while giving birth; to lay in a hospital bed on the edge of death waiting for a heart transplant; to hold the phone to a dying patient's ear so loved ones can say goodbye; to lose a daughter to opioid poisoning.I write about the life-changing discoveries in our labs, and our research centres, and our fellowship programs. I write about seniors and long-term care, Indigenous wellness, the joy of volunteering, the new St. Paul’s, and so much more. I write our annual report, video scripts, presentations, press releases, fundraising proposals, and cases for support. I write for our flagship publication, Promise Magazine. And I write speaking notes for the senior leadership teams at the Foundation and Providence Health Care.I provide insight and expertise for our editorial, social media, and marketing plans; I work closely with our events team to produce stellar programming for Lights of Hope, Scotiabank Feast of Fortune, and our Health Innovation Series. I liaise with our graphic designers, publicists, and printers. I am the Foundation’s grammarian and keeper of our style and editorial guides.The words I write inspire our donors, our staffers, and our entire community to support the amazing work being done at Providence Health Care’s 18 hospitals, long-term care homes, and health care sites. And they have helped the Foundation raise more money than ever before including the completion of our audacious $225 million Capital Campaign a year early.
