Operating in over 160 countries, the Pharmaceutical business is the commercial end of the medicine discovery and development process, employing 29,000 people globally with an annual turnover of £16bn.Key achievements• Operate as a business partner and coach to the Commercial President and his leadership team on the delivery of business plans. • Developed and executed the first truly global talent management strategy for the business with a specific focus on succession planning for the top 50 General Management roles and key development positions. • Significant experience navigating complex ABAC investigations and leading the implementation of recommendations in the Middle East, India and China. • Led a 2-year change programme for a geographically spread HR team of over 800 people. The change saw a move from providing hosted HR Shared Services in each country for all the GSK businesses, to a centralised HR Operations structure.

Simultaneously provided challenge and support to the Executive team to ensure the best possible operating model was in place and to ensure accountability for delivery on the ambitious talent development agenda.• Led a virtual, global HR team to ensure timely and accurate HR services for all ViiV Healthcare markets.
