As a SheFi cohort scholar, I had the opportunity to dive deep into the world of AI and blockchain through their comprehensive course. I developed valuable skills in both areas, learning how to apply these technologies in practical, impactful ways. This experience has enhanced my ability to integrate AI and blockchain into my consulting work for nonprofits, helping to amplify the reach and efficiency of grassroots organizations and align with my mission to drive social good through innovation.

-Expanded the Social Medicine Theme of the Week project through the creation of infographics to complement the medical curriculum through the incorporation of more information regarding health disparities and the social determinants of health-In collaboration with other student leaders, successfully advocated on behalf of underrepresented minority medical student groups for increased funding to ensure members are able to attend national conferences annually

-Collaborated with Vermont Cares, a local non-profit harm reduction organization, to plan two educational workshop sessions on overdose prevention for medical students including Naloxone training-Assembled Harm Reduction kits to be disbursed through the Vermont Cares Mobile Syringe Service Program

-Served as one of three emergency medicine interest group leaders for the class of 2023 to plan specialty-oriented programing for students interested in emergency medicine -Collaborated with my fellow leaders to implement a new emergency medicine advisor program where students can submit a form expressing their interest in EM as a specialty and become matched with a physician in the department as a mentor -Planned and communicated different emergency medicine student events to disseminate specialty-specific information and encourage networking among students and hospital faculty

-Collaborated with a group of medical students to develop an optional summer anti-racism curriculum for the Larner class of 2023 -Created an anti-racism infographic resource with embedded links to multi-media resources including documentaries, podcasts, articles, and books to encourage self-education on the topics of equity, inequality, and systemic racism which was distributed across both the college of medicine as well as several UVMMC departments-Independently led the race-dialogue session on criminal justice reform and authored discussion questions for the documentary “13th”

-Independently designed the medical advocacy curriculum for the second-year PCR (Professionalism, Communication, & Reflection) course at UVM Larner under the supervision of course director Dr. Stephen Berns-Oversaw the writing of facilitation guides for each session and collaborated with a group of peers to ensure module learning objectives were being met through pre-class learning materials -Authored both the patient-level and institutional-level advocacy session guides and created a “Responding to Inappropriate Comments in the Clinical Setting” infographic-style resource for second-year medical students

Collaborated with faculty & administration to design pre-learning resources for students on the topic of suicide highlighting population-based disparities for the Spring 2020 healthcare interprofessional Cultural Awareness Conference

-Served as the 2018-2019 lecturer and director of internships programs in Human Physiology within the department of Health Sciences at Sargent College for the human physiology internship courses (HS410/HS412) -Met with undergraduate students on a weekly basis to connect them to potential research/clinical internships throughout the greater Boston area and provide one-on-one career advising-Developed Qualtrics surveys to better assess experience and interests of students in order to provide more personalized recommendations during advising appointments as well as professionalism resources to facilitate their internship search

-Worked under the criminal justice division directors to develop and implement crisis intervention training to police officers throughout the state of Massachusetts -Conducted research and developed mental health advocacy fact sheets to be utilized by Suffolk county district attorney candidate Rachael Rollins during her campaign-Attended seminars and panels throughout Massachusetts to connect with other advocates to collaborate on future projects addressing mental health care within the criminal justice department.

-Completed an independent research project evaluating changes in epithelial trafficking of proteins utilizing type II diabetic mouse models -Oversaw the training and use of lab confocal microscopy facility -Tasks as a research assistant include dissection and fixation of animal tissue, immunofluorescent staining, as well as image and statistical analysis of images collected via confocal microscopy

-Provided weekly tutoring sessions for two first-year graduate students enrolled in Boston University School of Medicines Biochemistry course -Facilitated the understanding of biochemical processes including but not limited to glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, and lipid metabolism-Utilized the learning styles of my students to convey information in the most effective manner while also sharing insight of methods that I found most useful while enrolled in the course

-Prepared documents related to grant writing and IRB protocol submissions on the subject of peer-mediated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for PTSD and Depression symptoms-Conducted literature-based research to be used in future publications -Facilitated development of layperson peer-mediated PTSD intervention to provide cognitive behavioral therapy to those unable to access formal services

-Traveled across the United States conducting psychometric clinical evaluations of adolescence diagnosed with Hemifacial Microsomia for The Child and Adolescent Learning and Living Study-Worked with study staff to develop and carry out IRB and NIH approved data collection protocols using Microsoft Access databases -Attend monthly meetings to discuss data collection updates, relevant literature, and future plans for paper writing

-Participated in multiple studies examining the effects of cocaine and nicotine withdrawal in adult rats and mice -Tasks included carrying out intraperitoneal injections and patching of the lab animals, along with routine husbandry (feeding, cleaning, bed changes etc.) -Collected and analyzed data from the operational conditioning chambers in which the experiments were carried out

Served as a Sargent College Peer counselor for a group of incoming freshman students the 2012-2013 AY. Served as Co-President the following year and was responsible for the execution of all programming including the matching of students.

-Oversaw the entire student food rescue program which consisted of over 30 weekly runs that delivered food from local restaurants to a number of shelters in the Greater Boston Area -Recruited and supervised over 150 student volunteers during the Summer of 2013 -Worked to develop programs for the academic year to promote hunger awareness at Boston University
