About Krisandra Allen, Mph, Mb(Ascp)

Experienced epidemiologist with a broad background in infectious disease surveillance and outbreak response. My focus has been at the intersection of laboratory science and epidemiology in public health. Improving the communication and flow of data between these groups is necessary to best apply the power of genomics in public health. This requires cross-disciplinary training on both sides, as well as development of tools and resources to make genomic epidemiology as easy as possible for practitioners across the spectrum of skill levels.I have worked in a local health department, two state health departments, a public health laboratory, a wastewater-based epidemiology startup, and now at a non-profit organization affiliated with an academic group. This broad experience allows me to serve as a bridge and translator between different groups, and bring a cross-disciplinary perspective to complex policy and data problems.I maintain www.genomicepi.com as a resource for the genomic epidemiology community.

Listed skills include Epidemiology, Public Health, Research, Pcr, and 29 others.
