My responsibilities at Swanson Reed include, but are not limited to:• Obtain knowledge of the recent R&D Tax Incentive legislation and accounting policies;• Assist within the finance team by performing data entry;• Review of clients’ financial statements specifically, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Depreciation schedule, Income Tax return, Payroll Summary and other reports;• Perform financial investigations by reviewing clients’ invoices, Bank statements and General ledgers for detailed transactions of R&D expenditure;• Examine the turnover, expenditure and financial position of companies for accurate calculation of eligible R&D offsets;• Manage the new R&D Tax Incentive portal and online applications;• Register eligible R&D activities and expenses to AusIndustry, so a client may attain maximum Tax Government entitlements;• Prepare R&D Tax Schedule for lodgement with the ATO;• Prepare finalisation letters that provide assurance about the accuracy of claims and Swanson Reed’s compliance with statutory requirements;• Perform file management for internal control procedures;• Provide assistance with ATO audits and other compliance issues;• Be accountable for the identification, analysis, structuring, costing, modeling and submission of highly confidential R&D projects;• Perform ad-hoc duties such as specific projects and training for the continuous development of Swanson Reed;
