As a Desk Assistant/Security Monitor at SDSU, I am on the front line of safety and security in the residence halls. My primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of our community, which involves providing excellent customer service to students, parents, and guests, checking identification of those entering the building, confronting and/or reporting policy violations to on-duty staff, and performing general office tasks such as filing and answering phone calls. Additionally, I am assigned various other tasks to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
