Hello everyone!My name is Krish Madhavan and as a senior at Newbury Park High School with a 4.5 GPA, my passion for medicine has driven me to explore the fields of neurology, oncology, and cardiology. I’ve had the opportunity to publish research on neuroprosthetics alongside international peers, which has deepened my understanding of the potential for medical innovation. My involvement with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is also a key part of my journey, where I led a team of 8 to raise $60,000 for blood cancer research, combining my dedication to a cause with leadership and collaborative skillsIn addition to my academic pursuits, I was able to gain hands-on experience by shadowing a private interventional cardiologist located in Los Robles, which has further fueled my interest in pursuing a medical career, as well as a hematologist at the University of Southern California. These experiences have also allowed me to experience real-world application in both research in medicine, helping me gain a better understanding of what I want to set my sights upon.As Michio Kaku once said, “The mind is the most powerful weapon in the universe.” The following quote serves as a constant reminder to harness the power of knowledge and creativity to make a meaningful difference in the world.
