I manage 6 different departments within the Manufacturing Division, namely - Wire Drawing - manufacture and cover various types of copper. Insulation department - manufacturing different insulation tubes, boards,etc. Laser Cutting Dept. - where all new stator and rotor cores are laser cut amongst other steel products. The LCT department where traction armature and Field Coils are manufactured, repaired. The Salient Pole coil section, whereby we have a 300 Ton press, all coils are cured through a rectification process and we are the only company to have a fully automated "Deflection Testing Process". There is also HV coil shop where all AC high voltage set diamond coils are manufactured and also various types of HV armature coils and rotor bars are manufactured. In addition to the above departments I also head up the Low Voltage repair shop, where all the low voltage AC and DC motors are repaired. This workshop also carries out repairs of various types of traction motors, Alternators and Generators. My duties are to oversee these departments, ensure that all product manufactured or repaired conform to specifications. Ensure that budgets are met. Most importantly ensure staff and customer satisfaction. I physically get involved with my workforce to ensure that these departments are managed successfully. Started as a contractor in 2001, repairing various AC and DC machines. Was then given a position as assistant manager in Small Motors Div in 2001. Became workshop manager of this department in 2002. After 6 months i was promoted to commercial, where i became a technical estimator, i have successfully became the commercial manager for Rotating Machines Div, Transformer Div and Manufacturing Div. In March 2013 i was promoted to Executive Manufacturing Div. till present.

Repaired and rewound different generators at different power stations. I have had the opportunity to have worked in almost every power station in Gauteng, Hydro in Drakensburg and Koeburg PS.

QUALIFIED AS ARMATURE WINDER IN 1986, AFTER SERVING MY APPRENTICESHIP. WINDER, TEST TECHNICIAN, ROTATING AND STATIC BAYS AND PRODUCTION PLANNING.
