I am an English Literature Second Year Undergraduate seeking internships and work experience schemes related to Law.Having worked over 7 years in hospitality, I have not only gained a unique skill set that most students my age would acquire in full-time employment post-graduation, but a strong and empathetic character and sense of self. Being a family business, I worked up from pot-washing to administrative work relating to private parties and events I plan. In present day I have currently planned three weddings completely from scratch. This makes me a receptive and focused employee for extended periods of time.Most importantly, I learned productivity for tasks where there was no time-frame nor obvious solution. Notable examples include making snap decisions in the heat of the moment in an overbooked Christmas Day service, or building a calendar of events and their advertising post-Covid. This was particularly difficult when the restrictions were inert and uncertain for those in vulnerable groups, which made up the majority of our clientele in a small village.For these reasons, aside from my excellent academic performance despite the stark and mitigating adversities I have experienced since childhood, I believe I would make an ideal candidate for legal work and advocacy.
