About Krisha Ruparel
I am a first-year student at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. I have a passion for mentorship, collaborating with others, and bridging the gap between finance and accounting to make informed business decisions. I have demonstrated these strengths throughout high school with my positions as an assistant basketball coach for a nationally qualified league and the junior board treasurer for a nonprofit focused on educational equality. As a coach, I mentored over 150 athletes, focusing primarily on three nationally ranked AAU girls’ teams. I collaborated with other coaches to design practice plans, lead scrimmages, and set player development goals, contributing to team placements at the Alodia Championships, Prime Time Houston Triple Crown, and Winter Palooza. This leadership role carried over to my success as a junior board treasurer where I leveraged my skills for leadership and passion for finance to kickstart a fundraising subcommittee and increase educational resources to 50+ students while providing volunteer opportunities and valuable industry experience for youth volunteers. Now at Indiana University, I eagerly pursue opportunities that foster both my professional and personal growth, while also expanding my network. As the Integration Committee Head for Alpha Kappa Psi, a leading business fraternity on campus, I collaborate with upperclassmen to plan events that promote development in both personal and professional areas. I consistently reach out to my mentors weekly in pursuit of a new perspective on mentorship, a skill I will be able to leverage starting next semester. Additionally, I participate in case competitions through the Financial Services Club and engage in in-depth wealth management discussions with the Financial Planning Association, both of which expose me to a diverse range of professional opportunities.I hope to expand my involvement through Kelley by obtaining a Vice President position in my fraternity, as well as attending a semester abroad program. I look forward to engaging in a wealth management internship in the future to continue developing my strengths of collaboration, communication, and leadership. Ultimately, I envision myself pursuing a career in investment banking, where I can apply a diverse range of skills to drive performance and contribute to business success.
