Learning is my superpower.At age 12 I became fluent in English by playing a videogame. At 14 I learned how to dance bachata by watching youtube videos, in order to surprise my girlfriend. At 15 (for some reason) I learned how to solve a rubix cube. At 16 YouTube helped me become an intermediate player in both table tennis and chess (my ELO right now is 1450, which is around half of Magnus Carlsen's ELO!!). I loved learning, and so I became an educator.However, many of my learning experiences in formal educational settings (from elementary school to higher education) have been characterized by stress, boredom, and an overall disappointment. Instead of deterring me, it is precisely this lack of engagement with learning in a classroom what has fueled my desire to improve education by becoming an expert educator myself.During my bachelor's I discovered the 3 pillars of my educational project: motivation, gamification, and storytelling. Since then, I have integrated each one in every aspect of my work. I help Latin American students use poetry, storytelling, and assertiveness to better communicate their life's purpose to attain scholarships. I wrote my bachelor's thesis and my first master's thesis on the use of storytelling and games to motivate students to learn, and I am doing exactly the same now with my current master's thesis. My dream is to transform learning into a Role-Playing Game, like the one I learned English with seamlessly. I want and I will accomplish this not only through extensive academic research, but also entrepreneuring (picture Duolingo on steroids, and not just for languages but any field, from history to astrophysics). I don't just want students to learn or even to want to learn; I want them to marvel at the process of learning.My biggest accomplishments: 1. Obtaining 38.000 euros in funding from the European Union to pursue my current master's degree.2. Publishing my first book of poems "La Ausencia en que Perduras"3. Having over 70 customers put their trust in my educational project.4. Discovering that I can, indeed, be disciplined.5. Finding peace and gratefulness in my life. 6. Beating a 1600 rated player in chess.
