Rusirumal (Pvt) Ltd ; specialized in knit garments - Held the position of Head of Finance since 1st October 2008. The company was catering to a set of well reputed USA based buyers such as Eddie Bauer, Abercrombie and Fitch, Polo Ralphlauren, Columbia, and Land’s End etc.Finance Department, Logistics, Raw Material Warehouse, Transport, and General Procurement were under the scope of duties of the Head of Finance.

Richard Roberts (Lanka) Limited was owned by a UK citizen and it was well equipped with state of the art knitting machines. Richard Roberts was the largest knit manufacture in Sri Lanka. Involved in re-structuring of finances in order to overcome the financial crisis that had been in existence over a two year period. Recovering of dues from buyers, disposing of idle assets, negotiations with utility suppliers for more credit and agree on long term settlement plans, and implementing rigorous cost reduction programs were main tasks apart from the above re-structuring and rescheduling of financial facilities. Advising the marketing team and the production team on the product profitability by analyzing the post order costing and pre order costing was a routine task to ensure the operations are driven profitably. Later on, involved in finalizing a fine redundancy program to downsize the operation to face the severe cash crisis.

The first official appointment whilst reading for the final year exam of the B.Sc was received from Paradigm Clothing (Pvt) Ltd.Joined the Finance team on 1st January 2000. Involved in all the functions in Finance Division from the grass root level. Later on involved in administration of 1500 employees in two manufacturing units. Served 6 years.
