Involved in one of the most critical Cisco networking projects in Sri Lanka with network devices including 200+ switches & routers, 2000+ IP phones, 6+ wireless LAN controllers, 30+ access points & thousands of wired & wireless devices at 7 WAN sites.Key responsibilities• Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the structured cabling infrastructure (Fibre & Copper)• Provide 24x7 onsite support, promptly identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to the network and infrastructure.• Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party service providers to schedule and execute maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including accurate network diagrams and fibre path drawings.

Key responsibilities• Proficiently implemented network infrastructure projects, focusing on structured cabling systems (Copper and Fibre), ensuring optimal connectivity and adherence to industry standards.• Supervised the implementation of structured cabling systems, closely monitoring the installation, configuration, and termination processes to maintain high-quality standards.• Conducted fibre optics termination and testing as well as expertly identifying faults and promptly implementing effective rectification measures.• Provided network support to customers, promptly addressing and resolving issues to ensure maximum uptime.• Performed comprehensive site surveys and prepared accurate bill of materials for effective project planning and resource allocation.• Created comprehensive project completion reports, developed detailed network diagrams and comprehensive documentation to facilitate transparent network management and efficient troubleshooting.Involved Projects• Played a key role as a member of the Implementation Team for the NSBM Green University, overseeing both passive and active projects involving over 4000 network ports.• Served as the Project Coordinator for the Network Implementation Project at Colombo North Teaching Hospital.• Successfully managed the Network Expansion Project for the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.• Contributed as a member of the Implementation Team for the Network Implementation Project at Jaffna Hospital.• Acted as the Project Manager/Post Sales Engineer for the Network Implementation Project at Teaching Hospital Peradeniya.• Led the Network Implementation Project for the Faculty of Technology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, involving over 2000 network ports.
