My work has seen me write scripts, research, and source guest interviews for a number of projects with the likes of Copa 90, Whistle Sports, The Football Republic, among others.

I spent an extensive part of my career as a freelance writer and broadcaster covering football in both Europe and North America. During this period I produced work for the likes of BBC Sport, ESPN, the Guardian, and the New York Times among others. I also worked with professional clubs in the Premier League and Major League Soccer to produce digital.

This position involved producing a variety of digital content including news and feature articles as well as social media posts. The newsroom operated at a fast pace and required us to react to ongoing stories throughout the 2014 World Cup. My performance during this period allowed me to take up further work after the tournament.

Content Lead for Ball Street during a short-term project sponsored by Papa Johns. The main objective of the position was to ideate on the content narratives with the aim of being on trend while also satisfying pre-determined performance metrics.

North East correspondent for ESPN FC, covering Newcastle United & Sunderland AFC. The objective of this role was to produce news and feature content for the ESPN website. This involved working to tight deadlines, amidst competition, to deliver clean and concise copy.

Gateshead UK

This role saw me work with the team at Tyne Tees News to gain a better understanding of daily operations in a newsroom.I gained experience, in writing and editing news scripts as well as in front of camera opportunities.
