The result is fewer errors and huge efficiencies across marketing, online and product information.I also put my hand up to write the 2016 Sustainability Report, a 64-page document that tells the stories of the great work being done at Kathmandu in developing product, working with the community, reducing the footprint and managing human rights in the supply chain. I received training in GRI reporting and produced around 12,000 words of copy over a four-week period. Using the Create Once, Publish Everywhere (COPE) philosophy, each article for the report was written to cross over into digital marketing content and save time for content teams down the track. I was based at McMurdo Station on the Ross sea but travelled to field camps (my favourite was the Penguin Ranch) and even the South Pole Station. My job was to interview scientists and support staff and tell their stories in a way that even fourth-graders back in the states could understand. -
