Hurt Never", the clinic is open every Saturday, from 8am - 11am.http://afmconline.org/As Practice Manager, responsible for the overall clinic operations and volunteer management. Implemented a HIPAA-compliant remote clinic solution using Atlassian JIRA and Confluence in March 2020 when the clinic had to shut down due to COVID. Implemented a whole-of-clinic remote patient monitoring system on JIRA to enable providers to monitor patient blood glucose levels, blood pressure readings, medication compliance, food and exercise logs, and associated parameters on individual chronic diabetes patients. Obtained a SmartHeart Pro EKG device (SHL Telemedicine, FDA 510K cleared device) to record patient EKGs at the clinic, and screened patients for diabetic retinopathy using a Canon non-mydriatic retinal camera system (courtesy UC Berkeley School of Optometry)Expanded the clinic referrals process and avenues via dedicated outreach, and implemented a centralized, referral tracking system using JIRA and Confluence. The highlight of the referrals management exercise was being able to partner with IMPACT (caimpact.org) to facilitate free biopsy ( Palo Alto Medical Center), followed by surgical and post-operative care (UCSF) for a patient with no insurance.Completely re-vamped all clinic operational procedures in the interest of visibility, ease of compliance, and significantly reduced patient wait times. Designed discharge forms, referral forms, prescription slips and procedural documents, as well as implemented new workflows for ACA enrollment.
