It’s been 10 months, and each month has been better than the last. I've learned more in these 10 months than I did in the previous 3+ years. It’s true what they say: it’s not about for how many months but how much you learn.As a QAE, I think like I’m the CEO of product quality at Harmoney. My role includes manual testing of all web apps and automating them for front-end web automation using Selenium with Python. I've implemented a robust framework from scratch. I've also automated backend API testing using Rest-Assured with Java, utilizing a streamlined framework.I couldn’t have asked for a better startup to work at, a better team to work with, or a better office setup.I'm so excited for the coming challenges await for me here.

WhiteCrow Research, having evolved into a successful MNC, offered me a unique opportunity to experience a different organizational setup compared to my previous roles at a service-based company and a startup. I joined HR-Services and Talent Acquisition WhiteCrow Research, a SaaS based product company, as a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) in a dynamic QA team of 3-4 QAs.Initial Responsibilities:- Acquired in-depth knowledge from product managers, developers, and other QAs regarding web apps and their browser extensions.- Engaged in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress, plan tasks, and address challenges following the Agile methodology.- Utilized Jira for project management to track ongoing projects and test features and changes.Key Responsibilities:- Tested around six web apps and two browser extensions.Key Achievements:1. Critical Feature Deployment:- Introduced a feature to mark the day-to-day work of internal recruiters and researchers.- Despite development delays, I worked continuously for 21 hours to meet the crucial deadline, ensuring the feature was deployed to production, satisfying the VP and CEO. However, such practices should never be a norm but only expectations.2. Leading QA Release Management (Nov 2023 - June 2024):- Took charge of the software testing life cycle while the lead QA was on maternity leave.- Managed test plans, participated in QA and product meetings, set release deadlines, debugged major production bugs, interacted with internal users to understand pain points, and collaborated with team members to improve product quality.3. Spearheading Automation:- Initiated the shift from manual to automated testing, learning and implementing automation for one of the regularly used web apps.- Achieved 60-65% automation for regression testing using Selenium with a Java tech stack, significantly reducing manual efforts for the team.By the end of October 2023, I bid farewell to WhiteCrow Research.

I embarked on my software testing and quality assurance journey as a Test Engineer at RedCarpetUp, a fintech startup established approximately four years prior. Joining with just a few months of prior internship experience in testing, I was entrusted with overseeing the testing of "Rebel Card," a credit card web and Android application whose dev was began a few months ago only so it was in its very early days.The confidence shown in me by the company's management spurred me to dedicate extra effort to ensure the product's quality remained top-notch. I also took on testing responsibilities for several other credit card applications spanning web, Android, and iOS platforms. Additionally, I handled debugging and analysis of user-reported issues to understand behaviors and user stories.I had the privilege of participating in every stage of product development, from inception and development through testing, bug cycles, and final release. I continuously worked on enhancing product and user experiences, facilitating upgrade releases, and conducting various testing types including smoke, functional, integration, regression, sanity, API, and database testing.Key Achievement: During the user sign-up journey for Rebel Card, I observed a high user drop-off rate when users were required to upload essential documents such as Aadhar and PAN for authentication. Recognizing flaws in the flow, I drafted a redesign and product specification, which I presented to stakeholders. Implementing this change significantly reduced drop-offs upon release.By the end of 2021, I bid farewell to RedCarpetUp, grateful for the opportunity to begin my career in a field I've grown to love deeply.

During the final semester of my MCA program, I commenced my journey with Aimdek Tech as an Intern Software Engineer, contributing for a duration of 6 months. Initially engaged in a college project, I delved into various facets of the software development life cycle. The project, titled "Popular News," was an Android application designed to aggregate trending news onto a single platform for seamless accessibility.My role primarily encompassed product development and management, alongside contributions to design, QA, and software testing. Meanwhile, my project partner focused on software development tasks.Beyond this project, I also gained experience in sporadic software development using Liferay and Java, as well as content writing.In the concluding two months of my internship, I transitioned to software testing for Aimdek's "Doctor Online" project—an innovative platform facilitating online consultations between patients and doctors.This experience marked my first exposure to the tech corporate world.

In the last six months at Hero MotoCorp, I transitioned to the Spare Parts and Billing Department as a Cashier Customer Service. My responsibilities included:- Generating invoices for completed vehicle services and handling customer payments.- Explaining invoice details to customers and directing them to the appropriate personnel for further assistance.- Recording spare parts used in services in Hero MotoCorp's web application.- Creating detailed daily reports that included daily revenue, the number of bikes serviced, oil changes, paid services, free services, general repairs, and other key metrics.This role enhanced my expertise in billing, inventory management, and financial reporting, contributing to a well-rounded understanding of workshop operations.Upon completing my BCA studies and preparing for further academic pursuits, I concluded my part-time role by June 2018. This experience marked my introduction to the corporate world. It not only provided practical insights but also fostered enduring friendships with colleagues and customers, resulting in cherished memories.

After advancing to the role of Senior Customer Service Supervisor, my responsibilities expanded to include:- Mentoring and training new joiners, ensuring they understood their roles and could perform effectively.- Addressing and resolving customer dissatisfaction by thoroughly investigating issues and providing timely solutions.- Maintaining follow-up communication with customers with bigger issues in their vehicles post-service to ensure ongoing satisfaction.- Advising customers with older vehicles on necessary maintenance and part replacements to enhance vehicle performance and safety.- Managing warranty claim processes and handling insurance-related matters when required.This position allowed me to develop strong leadership skills and a deeper understanding of customer relationship management, warranty, and insurance processes.
