Last full time position was as Executive Director and heading the Cluster Infrastructure vertical dealing in sectors such as textiles,food processing ,agri & rural business, bamboo, leather, dairy, seed , pharma,plastics,electronics etc besides supervising initiatives in Africa in sectors such as cotton, food processing, Dairy, bamboo, seed etc. Experience in value chain projects in Agriculture on different crops with deep exposure to cold chain infrastructure and hitech agriculture ( controlled environment agriculture) Involved in strategic planning for the group. Experience in developing community based organisations, designing and implementing rehabilitation projects for indigenous people with huge impact, development of business plans especially for clusters of micro enterprises and CBOs , institutional structures, good understanding of public private partnership projects, and sound technical knowledge in agriculture and related fields. Also posses rich administrative experience and served on several high level committees of the Govt and Industry Associations. Have International experience. Has long experience in agriculture research and development and served at the senior administrative level in a commodity Board besides serving on the several boards . Was also involved in policy formulation at national level for a few sectors which also has has led to formulation of schemes. Has a total experience of 41 years of which 34 years at senior management levels in Government/ private sector including hands on experience in implementation of projects in diverse sectors and settings. Experience in implementing projects in dairy , cotton , seed sectors in Africa and working on projects funded by multilateral and bilateral agencesHolds a PhD in Soils from the Department of Agricultural Engineering, IIT , Kharagpur, India and has about 70 publications
