The manuscript is under publication.➢Studied mitochondrial physiology and biogenesis in normal and cachectic mice muscles by using mtDNA PCR method, protein quantification, IHC and electron microscopy. The project/data have been applied for the NIH funding in Cachexia.➢Isolated circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from the pancreatic cancer patients blood sample using the magnetic beads and characterized them using immunoflourescense microscopy imaging.➢Worked to develop a kinase-inhibitor binding assay and cell-based inhibitor binding assay to find a potent inhibitor for mixed lineage kinase after high-throughput Screening (HTS).➢Demonstrated effective mentoring and leadership by training three summer students in theoretical and practical knowledge in the lab. -

That could potentially explain gain-of-function activities that result in aggressive cancer.➢ Designed, performed and analyzed the experiment and used molecular techniques such as molecular cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, ubiquitination assays, western blotting, and generation of stable cell lines. My work is published in Molecular & Cellular Oncology, a peer-reviewed journal.➢ Worked with interdisciplinary experts, leading major activities and contributed to other projects of post-doctoral fellows during my Ph.D. program as evidenced by my publications. -
