Mechanical Project Engineer At Engineering Office - Project Management
CurrentAs a Project engineer my responsibilities included the following:• Understanding the contract documents, preparing project estimation, preparing project budget, cash flow, cost reports & cost variance report, procurement of subcontractors, material and manpower • Ensuring Bid Submission in full compliance with the Project requirement.• Ensuring appropriate design/construction coordination is complete• Coordinating with MEP Engineers for timely preparation and delivery of project deliverables.• Advising design engineers while preparing heat load, calculation, pump head estimation, pipe size calculation, duct sizing and equipment selection.• Requesting finance department to prepare Insurances, Performance Guarantees, positive and negative VO to contractors• Coordinating with contractors and Finance team to finalize the PS & PC packages• Providing advice to the team in relation to installation, commissioning and handover• Managing quality control program for MEP systems • Review contractor schedules in relation to procurement, installation, and testing and commissioning, and identify any potential delays or progress concerns.• Ensuring As-built and O&M Manuals requirements are completed with the owner requirements.• Managing MEP defects rectification during the defects liability period• Interaction with Consultant, Main Contractor & other Sub-contractors for successful completion of Projects.
