This adaptation involves transitioning from traditional satellite design practices to a model-based design approach by developing system models required for analysis, trade-offs, verification and validation (V&V).Main responsibilities and experience in MBSE include:⦿ Identifying the benefits of MBSE and introducing this approach into the CubeSats development team under C-Space, UCD;⦿ Performed trade-off studies in order to decide the required MBSE tool and methodology which is suitable for needs and requirements of the project;⦿ Procurement and License Management of the MBSE tool Developed system models for CubeSat subsystem structural models and verification models in CATIA Magic System of Systems Architect tool based on EIRSAT-1 architectural data;⦿ Trained remaining team in SysML and MBSE methodology and tool mechanics required in the project.⦿ Creating additional SysML stereotypes required for CubeSat modeling.⦿ Developed CubeSat standard structural model based on the MDD, DDF and Requirement documents of EIRSAT-1;⦿ Model Based Requirements and Test Configuration Development from EIRSAT-1 textual requirements;⦿ Major contribution is modeling the Command and Data Handling Subsystem of the EIRSAT-1 and its communication with Ground Segment.⦿ Created Test models for end-to-end communications testing for EIRSAT-1; ⦿ Performed requirements verification through MBSE approach by defining a VerifyMethod property for Requirements with appropriate values;⦿ Developed an plugin to integrate SysML test models with python test scripts to enable a closed loop test data verification;

Ground Support Engineer | Eirsat-1

⦿ Responsible for design and development of Ground Segment Monitoring System for Ireland's first research satellite EIRSAT-1.⦿ The key idea of this project was to monitor the uplink RF power from ICOM-9100 used on the Ground segment side and push it into the Grafana for visualisation.⦿ The data is extracted from the RF sensors and weather station, and is ingested into AWS Timetream DataBase using AWS IoT Core tool. The data is then pushed to Grafana for monitoring.⦿ During this internship, I also had got an opportunity to interact with actual Engineering Qualification Model of EIRSAT-1 satellite during subsystem's functional testing in a Product Assurance Engineer role.
