1. Well understanding of the technical aspects and basic design of various shipboard systems, developing the key design document in areas such as power system, control & automation system, weapons & sensors, instrumentation, navigation system etc.2. Perform necessary basic design calculations based on first principles and latest class & statutory rules and performing software analysis for the determination of equipment sizing and thus selection of the right equipment for the basic designs being developed by the team.3. Understand various technical aspects of detail design and equipment procurement activities in shipbuilding. And to foresee major issues connected with detail design and test & trials during the ship construction phase.4. Plan and implement necessary software tools to enhance the electrical & power systems analysis capabilities of the basic design team.

1. Prepare basic and detailed engineering for shipboard HV projects including converters, transformers, MV & LV VSD, MV & LV switch gear, cabling etc. ensuring the appropriate rules and high standards.2. Analyze customer’s contracts & support business verticals in creating & reviewing systems solution. Preparing technical specifications of systems for vendors & internal stake holders and review the vendor furnished information and execute work to comply with internal & client delivery dates.3. Perform system calculations and studies for electrical power systems, such as load flow, voltage drop, cable sizing, short circuit studies, earth fault & relay co-ordination studies. Producing technical submission for customer and classification societies.4. Liaise with Customer, Classification, Platform Engineering, Suppliers & Supply Chain, in a professional manner, as appropriate to support the project and the business.

1. Define project objectives by reviewing contractual document and determine & document the requirements for shipboard power generation & distribution, control & navigation systems.2. Electrical equipment selection and prepare the BOM.3. Prepare or review engineering operating procedures, instructions, specifications, drawings, standards & documentation for cognizant equipment and systems.4. Defined the 3D modeling procedure in CADMATIC for the project; generating and issuing production-ready drawings for the entire vessel's electrical system.5. Delivering timely accurate electrical design drawings and documentation to support procurement and production of new builds.

1. Lead the electrical aspects of ship design by performing basic & detail design of electrical systems, ensuring deliverables are issued as per plan & budgeted hours.2. Design evaluation, including conducting vessels’ electrical load analysis, short circuit study, Load computation, breaker sizing & developing the electrical distribution concepts.3. Preparation of Electrical Installation and Documentation for Equipment’s placed in Hazardous zones, Maintenance manual and EX-Certificates.4. Liaison with Client & Classification Societies in order to ensure all technical requirements are met. Familiar with Plan Appraisal services relating to Classification society.5. Analyze the 3D models of Machinery and accommodation spaces to determine the equipment installation feasibility and lighting fixture arrangement into installation drawing.

1. Prepared the electrical load analysis and determined the generator capacity, transformer sizing, breaker and cable sizing and estimated the project cable requirements after performing voltage drop calculations and zone classification.2. Finalized the number of transformers required, based on the connected loads & redistributing the loads ensuring proper load balancing.3. Reviewed the project technical specification, product documentation and developed the electrical one line diagram, schematic and wiring diagrams for various on-board electrical systems ensuring internal quality assessments.4. Preparation of onboard cable routing plan, General Arrangement layouts for control, communication and lighting systems and various protection schemes for control panels.
