Launched and grew Lending Stream into the second largest online installment lender in the UK. Our growth and profitability was primarily driven by the power of our analytics and data science.As we scaled, we ramped to over $100 million in revenues and became profitable along the way. I scaled the company to over 300 people, leading the management team and building all necessary functions to create this highly profitable online lending operation.

Along with Purna Patnaik and Steve Biafore, founded and led the growth of analytics and data science company Global Analytics based in San Diego, CA and Chennai, India. Profitable from day one, Global Analytics grew to over 100 people by 2008. The staff was mostly technical, and the business involved analytics and data science in financial services and other industries.In 2006, I created a joint venture called Blue Ocean Capital, aimed at leveraging world-class data science in online lending in the US. Our partner brought a small lending portfolio into the JV and within 2 years we were able to grow the portfolio 10-fold in size, chop the bad debt percentage in half, and create the most profitable lender in its peer group. We exited by selling this portfolio in June 2008.Later in 2008, I launched our subsidiary Lending Stream, a UK online lending company. This proved to be highly successful, eventually becoming one of the UK's largest online consumer installment lenders.

Along with Ted Crooks and Anu Pathria, founded Burning Glass Technologies to apply text analytics to resumes and job postings. Led team to build text analytics technology capable of automatically parsing resumes and job postings, performing skills analyses, matching resumes to jobs, and assessing labor market supply and demand. In Jan 2015, President Obama, in his State of the Union Address, referred to the skill gap in America -- the data for this came from Burning Glass and addressed the "burning question" of why America has so much unemployment, yet so many unfilled jobs. Burning Glass was able to quantify that skill gap by measuring supply vs. demand for all the major skill groups in the US economy.

Managed P&L for Fraud Systems Division, growing the business from 0 to $35 million. Aggressively grew revenue and market share of Falcon, HNC's industry-leading transaction based neural network fraud detection system. Grew the division to 140 people. Introduced new products for Falcon customers to further enhance the revenue stream.

Led product development, modeling, software, and product management for transaction based fraud detection solution Falcon. Patented the core technology for Falcon.

Designed algorithms and built neural network models for applications in the Financial Services sector. Developed the core IP for what would eventually become Falcon, the world standard in real-time fraud detection systems.
