Design Engineer
CurrentJob Description: Mechanical Design Engineer – Alloy Wheel Design and ManufacturingDepartment: Engineering / R & DKey Responsibilities:Alloy Wheel & Castings Components Design:1. Design alloy and casting wheels, including concept design, 3D/2D modeling, surfacing, and detailing, using CAD software such as Siemens NX.2. Ensure that designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements, while adhering to safety, durability, and lightweight criteria.3. Apply industry standards, including ETRTO (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization) and TRA (Tire and Rim Association) norms in design validation.4. Draft and apply GD&T principles to ensure precision in manufacturing and assembly processes.5. Ensure that wheel designs are optimized for manufacturing processes such as forging, casting, and machining, considering cost, efficiency, and ease of production.6. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address DFM/DFA concerns and ensure smooth production workflows.7. Conduct VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) studies to optimize wheel weight, enhance material efficiency, and reduce manufacturing costs without compromising performance.Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & Simulation:Perform FEA using tools like Siemens NX Nastran to validate designs for structural integrity, fatigue, impact resistance, and load-bearing capacity.
