I submitted my Ph.D. thesis in organic chemistry with a specialization in synthetic carbohydrate chemistry under the guidance of Dr. Ravi Shankar Lankalapalli at CSIR-NIIST. My doctoral research has equipped me with extensive experience in multi-step synthesis of complex molecules (Carbohydrate, aromatic, and Nucleoside analogs). I have developed expertise in characterizing organic molecules using various NMR techniques, managing delicate reactions, and executing multi-step targeted synthesis and isolation of pure compounds using various techniques, including column chromatography, precipitation, and optical resolution. My thesis, entitled "Development of Novel Synthetic Strategies for Iminosugar-Based Glycomimetics," has been instrumental in developing new synthetic routes for the anticancer drug Immucillin-H, the antiviral drug Immucillin-A, and novel aza analogues of KRN-7000 through multistep synthesis.in addition to synthetic organic chemistry, I have experience in isolating and characterizing microbes from soil samples, including the isolation and structural elucidation of their active secondary metabolites. Additionally, proficient in isolating phytochemicals from plants and food sources.
