Amazon Fire OS/Kindle devices are predominantly used in US, Canada, UK. Fire OS is a mobile operating system based on Android Open Source Project, developed by Amazon Engineers for Amazon’s Kindle devices. Fire OS includes proprietary software, a customized user interface primarily centered on content consumption and heavy ties to content available from Amazon’s storefronts and services. As Amazon is known for Customer Centric Work model the Fire Launcher is build with immersive experiences that connect, entertain and engage customers. At Amazon I was a part of OOBE team. Since my journey with Amazon from 2017 to Aug 2021 OOBE has gone through different design changes where I have been a part with.Along with OS releases, OOBE has decided to go on monthly releases using Over The Air(OTA) technology.Responsibilities:- Gather functional requirement from Onsite Project lead and develop/plan ETA for the tests.- Resolved bugs closure exerciser on weekly basis and reporting- Involved in Test plan creating, Retrospective meetings, KT sessions. - Conducted code reviews, mentored team members, and provided technical guidance in automation best practices using Appium and Java.- Analyzing test plan and prepare test cases for new functionalities- Developed and maintained scalable automation tests leveraging Appium and Java, providing a foundation for efficient and reliable mobile testing.- Used JIRA for Bug Reporting, Test Rail for Test case execution, Confluence for Documentation.
