About Krishna Soni

I am an aspiring GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) Engineer whose ultimate goal is to work on crewed interplanetary spacecraft. I’m incredibly passionate about democratizing access to space and extending humanity’s reach in our solar system. In the immediate future, my goal is to work on enabling technologies for interplanetary space exploration, ideally which allow the first human crew to land on another planet.In the past, I've worked at Astra as an Embedded Software Engineer and GNC Engineer. Before that, I worked as a Software Developer and CPE at Lockheed Martin Space on NASA's Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) for Artemis 1 and Artemis 2. I am currently a Sr. GNC Engineer working at Impulse Space, primarily working on a new GEO-capable kick-stage, Helios.Interests: Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C), Estimation Theory, Optimal Control, Entry/Descent/Landing, Optimization Theory (especially in the context of powered descent landing), Software Development, Human Space Exploration, and Spacecraft Development
