I have 35 years working experience in various administrative, managerial and human resources positions. Concurrently I have also been actively involved in workplace counselling with keen interest on career sustainability and the psycho-emotional issues associated with different career stages and transition into retirement. Since 2010 I have also been actively involved in school counselling with experience in handling issues with both primary and secondary school children. In 2011 I was accepted into the Golden Key International Honour Society in recognition of my academic excellence in pursuing my counselling qualifications. In addition to my other qualifications, I have also had professional training in child protection and suicide first aid. As an Executive Council member of APACS, I am currently also active in the numerous initiatives taken by the association to enhance recognition of the counselling profession in Singapore. I am also part of a Professional Learning Group on counselling at James Cook University. I also write regularly on various career development and counselling topics. My articles have appeared frequently in newspapers, career guides, and job search portals.
