I am the Senior Pastor of Hemingway Memorial AME Church. Our church is fondly called “The Way”. Our focus is on helping people to initiate a relationship with God and to equip believers in their faith journey. We are an outreach focused and Spirit led church. The Way is a great place for people of all ages. We have a thriving children’s church. We have ministries for men, women, seniors, young adults, youth and couples to name a few. If you need a place to worship we would love for you to join us on Sundays at 10:30am or at one of our bibles studies or events.I started in ministry back in 2001 at Orange Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, NC. As an Associate Minister I served in youth, college and prison ministries. In 2004 I was led by God to return to DC and go back to my home church Ebenezer AME in Fort Washington, MD. It was there at Ebenezer that I connected with Rev. Tony Lee. In 2006 I became a part of Rev. Tony Lee’s Administrative team where I assisted with the planting of the Community of Hope AME Church in Temple Hills, MD.In 2012 I earned a Masters of Divinity from Howard University along with earning the esteemed Vernon Johns Prophetic Preaching Award. I was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 2013. I am the first in ministry of both Community of Hope AME Church and Pastor Tony Lee. I served as both a Senior Minister and the Minister to Men where I led their Hope Battalion Men’s Ministry. I assisted men in their personal growth through a holistic ministry approach. In 2016 I launched the Love AME Church which quickly became one of the fastest growing AME churches. By the grace of God I led the church to be impactful locally, regionally, nationally and globally. I hold to a strong belief that God just wants to blow our minds! I seek to share the LOVE of God across the globe.
