With over 20 years of experience in developing and commercializing hard-tech innovations, my mission is to leverage my expertise in process engineering, product development, and strategic leadership to create resource-efficient solutions that benefit both the planet and society. I am the CEO of Qbic Materials, Inc. , a company that is transforming the field of sustainable materials by building brand new technologies to enable upcycling of recycled PET of all grades into highly-functional, low-carbon, lightweight, microcellular materials under the QbicPET brand. We are launching QbicPET products with low-embodied energy for applications in the packaging, printing, and building materials industries, creating new value streams for recycled PET and reducing environmental impact. In addition to leading Qbic Materials, I am also an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington, where I teach and train engineering students on the topics of design and manufacturing. Furthermore, I am a key advisor to Ocean, a Seattle-area startup that is innovating in the climate adaptation space via its bamboo roofing solution. I have a strong track record of raising capital, managing complex programs, delivering high-quality products, and building high-performing, customer-centric teams. I am a storyteller, an active listener, a builder, and an action-oriented collaborative leader who thrives in ambiguity.
