I worked on the Social Impact Assessment team, analysing the labour regulations of a large proposed desalination plant in Sur, Oman. I studied the various lending requirements of the primary lender, a German development financial institution (DFI), and various international standards such as the IFC Performance Standards; World Bank Group Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines; Equator Principles; UN Global Compact; and several relevant international treaties and conventions.Finally, I organised and presented a chapter for the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) document to be submitted to the client.
