I am instructing students how to play chess in elementary and middle schools. Learning how to play chess improves student's concentration, critical thinking skills, and decision making. I am training students for the March 3rd Queen City Classic where my students will practice the skills they learned all year in tournament matches against students from 10 states.Learned a valuable lesson that each student has a different learning style. I have gained proficient skills in developing individual learnign plans for each of my students. This has helped me working with teams of my peers on group projects at UC. I think my flexibility is very applicable for professional teams in the business environment.

Underwriting Intern working on two main projects with the EyeMed Finance team. During this 10 week internship program, I will be analyzing and reporting on EyeMed's upcoming client renewal process. I will also be managing the reporting process of the renewal process using Salesforce. Some of my responsibilities also include developing scorecards for account managers using client data and documenting underwriting guidelines for account managers to follow with renewed accounts. This will streamline the analytical processes for EyeMed managers and employees.

Trained lifeguards to become instructors & taught classes in stroke development to kids. Planned & scheduled lessons while coordinating with parents & Swimsafe. Developed stroke technique instruction program for individual private lessons.

I changed Walnut Hills High School’s green culture as vice president by implementing school-wide recycling & food waste reduction programs. I helped implement a process by which students buying school lunch could donate unopened, unwanted fruit, juice, & milk into a club purchased refrigerator for hungry students. Successfully challenged the Ohio Health Board to change policies on donating perishable goods & create a shared table policy.

Created individualized instruction plans for each pupil in coordination with their parents.Instructed 4-5 students weekly in subjects such as Latin I-IV, AP Latin, & Algebra.Discovered that different approaches must be taken with each student to accommodate their learning style.
