• Responsible for the order execution right from new order in-take to delivery to customers. • Planning - with customers, within SAI and with our suppliers. • Inventory management - Optimum inventory levels were reached with the successful routing of processes in our Enterprise Resource Planning software. • Achieved an On-Time-delivery rate of > 95%. • Implemented lean manufacturing concepts such as 2-bin system and Kanban system. • On the sales side, stabilised sales in the export sector apart from our traditional sectors of industrial and material handling. • Reduction of sales dependency on traditional segments by aggressive promotion of our products to new segments such as road construction, mining and agriculture through technical presentations to potential customers and participation in trade shows.

• Besides domestic sales, I was given the responsibility of Export sales. • On the domestic front, sales grew by the addition of new clients in the industrial and material handling segments and also by increasing market share with our existing clients. • The growth achieved by a disciplined approach of first understanding our market share and competitor study followed by offering customised solutions to accelerate our growth. • Improved our market share on the domestic front by strengthening our sales through channel partners.• On the sales related to exports, handled customers from the Far-East and the other subsidiaries of SAI Italy worldwide. • Exports required a great understanding of their expectations and to instil confidence in them to ensure that we could supply world class products from India. • Efforts were spent in rapport building, showcasing our capabilities on the technical side and overcoming the cultural barriers. • Took the opportunity to learn Italian to bridge the communication gap between India and Italy.

• Spent 6 months at the head office of SAI Spa , Italy in Modena on training• Trained on the product range, selection of products and application engineering. • Following the training, I was responsible for key account management pertaining to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) sales. • Use of Microsoft office tool, to prepare presentations which were used for sales promotion and as training material for customers and internal staff training. • Core member of the SAP ERP implementation team of SAI India and I was responsible for the delivery pertaining to the Sales and Distribution module.

• Trained at the Infosys training centre in Mysore for 4 months • Training was specialised to open systems stream covering RDBMS, UNIX, C++ and Visual Basic. • On completion of training, I was posted with the Asia pacific team as a software engineer in Bangalore. • Involved in the development of a standalone software tool using Visual Basic for Application (VBA) using Microsoft excel as the backend database. • Sound understanding of the client’s requirement and regular interactions with our onsite team.• On completion of this project, I took up the responsibility of handling the quality assurance of all projects related to the specific client. • It gave me an experience to work on multiple projects and understand the business process related to the same. • I was responsible for preparing comprehensive test plan documents, execution of the test plans, defect tracking and eventually to ensure defect free deliverable to the client.
