My comfort in ambiguity and curiosity to tackle really big problems led me to IDEO. My experience has primarily focused on applying design thinking and a user-centered approach, to identify untapped market opportunities. Establishing new ventures and shepherding them from conception to achieving product-market fit is a large part of my role. This includes getting stakeholder buy-in at Fortune 100 organizations and leading partnership conversations to incubate ideas that will launch in market in a 2-5 year time horizon. Sample projects include establishing a vision and supporting business ecosystem for autonomous vehicles, improving access to healthcare through mobile technology, helping a VC fund with their investment process, and designing a niche talent marketplace.Promoted from Senior Designer > Principal Designer > Design Lead > Senior Design Lead > Director > Senior Director > Executive Director.

My curiosity to explore and learn in a completely new environment got the best of me and I spent a fall in Bogotá. My time at Polymath helped me understand how design thinking can be used to identify untapped markets in developing countries. I focused on ventures that improve access to capital across the population in Colombia.

I spent an awesome summer in Edinburgh, where I learned about the fundamentals of product design and gathered insights about customer product preferences in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. Partnering with the Global User Experience Team to take a customer-obsessed approach to making the "Shopping Cart" more intuitive and geographically relevant was an enlightening experience. This was the first time I applied design thinking methodologies to promote global user engagement, with the support of the European Leadership team.

I joined Accenture to lead an entrepreneurial experience within a large organization. Being a founding team member of the Risk Management Consulting Practice in North America, I learned what it was like to build a consulting business from the ground up. Some of the greatest learnings included working in the trenches of the financial crisis, driving large-scale transformation by leading teams across four continents, and preventing major financial services institutions from collapsing. I was early promoted from Analyst > Consultant > Manager, and my engagement experience includes strategy assessments, large scale transformations and regulatory responses, across Fortune 100 Financial Services clients.

This was my first job out of college and was a phenomenal learning experience, especially at the peak of the Financial Crisis. I worked across the U.S. and Asia and gained experience in carbon emissions reduction strategy, growth strategy and pricing strategy.
