The things I make, generally interactive stories, aim to explore connections between characters, the audience and the actual story - under the stresses of outside forces and strange internal drives. For the audience - these stories ask the big questions of life. There are sometimes answers to as yet unasked questions, all imbued with love and laughter - sometimes obvious by the lack of it!By using gameplay and interaction in counter-intuitive ways the audience are intrigued, seduced, forced or coerced into making choices and reflecting on the outcomes. How this came about, from the start…Between 1995 and 2008 I logged 13,000 hours creating interactive story games, networked story prototypes and innovative online experiences. I got my interactive work shown internationally, filled a book of great contacts and developed some strong techniques for audience engagement. In 2008 my interactive film "Crimeface" won 2 Webby Awards (Oscars of the Internet) and I started Bellyfeel. Since then most of my waking moments have been taken up developing, producing and consulting to create compelling interactive stories and unforgettable user experiences.I do this by pushing the boundaries of user experience, learning and storytelling - creating stories, projects and campaigns that leverage the advantages of new technology yet retain a traditional attention to detail.I have managed teams of 50+ on high profile productions as well as working with media corporations, small business’s and individuals. I have helped raise funding of £2.5 million+ for innovative interactive projects and stories that NEED TO BE TOLD...I also deliver talks and training around the world at Media Festivals. I published my first book in 2015: Set The Storyworld To RandomI'm writing another one... but very slowly!
