Prabhakar Shekhar is a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of post-qualification experience. He is also a holder of professional qualification in Cost and Management Accountancy with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and is presently employed with Auto Industries Ltd. Kenya (Bajaj Kenya) as Sr. General Manager. Shekhar was previously employed with AP Moller Maersk as West & Central Africa Area CFO, with overall responsibility for Damco offices in Senegal, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Nigeria, Cameroun, Benin, Togo & Niger, having been with the AP Moller Maersk Group from 2002 onwards starting as Finance Manager. Self-motivating, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with analytical and problem-solving abilities are the primary strengths. Recognized for the ability to motivate others as well as work effectively with people at all levels in an organization. Prabhakar Shekhar has a considerable post professional qualification experience in service, industrial, auditing, manufacturing, shipping and logistics industries in India, Kenya, Cameroon, Tanzania, the Horn of Africa region, Ghana, Senegal, amonst others, having worked in various sectors of business of international stature for over 25 years. This includes building a very strong functional team, setting standards, systems and supporting improvements to the bottom line of the organization.
