Leading MetLife Foundation’s Financial Health work in the Asia region. Successfully executed our first five-year financial health strategy, deploying >$70 million in grants and impact investing programs in Asia reaching 9 million low- and moderate-income people in the region and 16 million globally.

Led teams for over 100 short, medium and long term client engagements over six years with one of the highest client and peer-ratings. Some examples of work include: Led /co-led the G2P payments and digital financial services practice. Responsible for developing strategy and managing its execution, managing a team of consultants; mentoring and coaching a team of consultants, monitoring and supervising projects, and providing technical advice to clients.Strategy Played a lead role in developing (and supporting the implementation of) go to market strategy for banks, central banks, MFIs, government departments as well as other corporations such as UIDAI. e.g.Worked extensively with Nationwide MicroBank, a leading Microfinance bank (PNG) on strategy, business model, product, processes and financial projections for the first bank-led mobile money initiative in PNG. Market research, product development, pilot testing and roll-out Led team on several qualitative market research projects for clients including two of India’s largest banks, several MFIs and mobile banking companies to design, test and review their savings, remittance, payment and credit products.Designed/ refined products for a variety of institutions. Have been a part of several product design and successful roll-out teams. Process re-engineering, risk management and financial projectionsWorked with several banks, MFIs, UIDAI and other government departments to design and re-engineer processes focusing on risk-efficiency optimisation. Research Associate for an applied research project in partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and ICICI Bank for Product Development for SMEs in India (Deputed at ICICI Bank's Head office in Mumbai)Worked with the collections and product development team of ICICI Bank to develop a credit product for used asset market Managed all field based aspects of a research project on improving the used asset market in India. The focus was evaluating the impact of providing the small enterprises with access to credit on the overall pricing of used assets, business of bank and the business of small enterprises.Provided linkages and coordination between project staff, project partners - MIT (US), ICICI Bank Ltd. and EBay Motors India Interviewed local business owners to collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to inform the product development exercise

Responsible for supervision and monitoring of microfinance activities of 3 savings and credit federations (two are now converted into co-operatives) spread across the district.Provided needs-based support to SHG based savings and credit federations and cooperatives throughout one of the largest district of India (Kutch).As a nominated microfinance resource centre of CARE India for the district, successfully spearheaded some applied research and consulting projects on livelihood and micro-enterprises for various NGOs in the district.Worked towards establishing best-practices in MIS, training and capacity building

Part of the branch operations team responsible for all aspects of managing branch operations including marketing, client management, loan application and appraisal, disbursement, technical verification and recovery.Part of the team and phase wherein the branch played a key role and achieved high growth by disbursing housing loans to people belonging to lower income category in the post-rehabilitation phase after a major earthquake in the area.

Responsible for planning, managing and monitoring of water and sanitation projects with main focus on dam reconstruction and community activities, procuring human resources and materials as required. Led and managed regeneration of natural water bodies in more than 150 villages.Planned project activities by undertaking preliminary surveys and overseeing participative decision making activities.
