Research-oriented project to inform the implementation phase of the My Health My Community (MHMC) survey project, BC's largest community-health survey, to increase the representativeness of the survey results. Developed and used various Public Health competencies as follows:• Research & Evaluation: Conducted literature reviews, informant interviews, and created & disseminated a brief survey to the internal engagement community members to understand the barriers faced in reaching out to the vulnerable/harder-to-reach populations and to enhance the strategies for a wider reach-out during the My Health My Community survey implementation.• Knowledge Translation: Generated a detailed report summarizing research findings.• Project Coordination: Collaborated with multiple team members of the project to inform various parts of the practicum project. Liaised with the Project Manager and the Regional Epidemiologist as the first point of contact for project updates, future steps, and survey creation and dissemination.• Data Analysis: Conducted data analysis of the survey data with the help of R (quantitative analysis) and NVIVO (qualitative analysis) and presented project findings to the internal VCH planning committee, as part of MPH Capstone project.
