I am presently an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Accel Venture Partners. I am focusing on two areas. These are Video Delivery/Conferencing and Datacenter Virtualization.

Worked on the current idea that became Blue Jeans

Vice President and General Manager for Cisco's Server Virtualization business unit. Responsible for developing Server Fabric switches based on InfiniBand. Development of Datacenter provisioning and virtualizatin software VFRAME. Also worked on Desktop virtualiazation; blade server etc.

Responsible for re-focussing the company in a new direction post 2001 Internet bubble. Working with the founders of the company, I was able to reinvent the company in a new direction of providing I/O virtualization on InfiniBand fabric. Topspin was a trendsetter in many ways. The company was able to get design wins for it's InfiniBand switch with the likes of IBM, DELL, HP and SUN. In fact Topspin dominated the OEM blade switch market. In addition Topspin pioneered the concept of server switching based on I/O virtualization and provisioning. The flagship product VFrame won many awards. Cisco acquired the company in 2005

I led Cisco's strategy for L4-L7 products during the era when companies were just getting started on Internet based commerce.Under my leadership, Cisco led the Load balancing market with it's pioneering product - Local Director. We also pioneered the global load balancer - Distributed Director.I also directed the BU's effort into the nascent Content Delivery Networks market. We cemented partnership with young startups such as Akamai. I was responsible for the acquisition of Tasmania networks and Sightpath. I also directed Cisco's effort in Content Caching. The BU started with 20 people and grew to about 250.Due to those pioneering efforts in L4-L7 technologies, Cisco in 2008 is a major player in this space.

I was the co-founder of Internet Junction. This company was self funded. Internet Junction foresaw the need for small and medium businesses to take advantage of the Internet for E-Commerce. The essential question that needed to be answered was how will a vast majority of SMBs who run Netware supplied Novell connect to this new medium based on IP,. The answer and the solution was provided by Intenet Junction. Sun Microsystem, Berkley Networks, Frontier networks all OEMd the Internet Junction.Cisco Systems saw a strategic opportunity in incorporating Internet Junction technology into IOS.Cisco Systems acquired Internet Junction in 2005
