Kuri is an open-source Dead-Letter Queue-as-a-Service (DLQaaS) for small distributed applications deployed on AWS infrastructure. Kuri automates the deployment of AWS infrastructure and provides a user interface to allow for extended DLQ functionality and observability.• Designed, configured, and deployed AWS infrastructure to host Kuri functionality using AWS SDK (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, IAM, S3)• Prototyped an alternative cloud architecture design using AWS CDK• Built a RESTful API for viewing, deleting, editing, and resending messages from the DLQ back to the main SQS queue (Node.js, Express)• Developed a user interface dashboard that enables users to manage the critical elements of the service (React, React-Boostrap)• Contributed to the development of an accompanying CLI utility (CommanderJS, InquirerJS) that automates the deployment of Kuri and published it as an NPM package.• Implemented a notification system that pushes a Slack notification when the DLQ receives a new message• Collaborated with a remote team of international engineers on the design and development of the Kuri project• Presented a live tech talk about Kuri• Authored a comprehensive technical case study
