My strengths lie within delivering a high level of skill, hardwork, expertise and results for the company and team I work within. My current role is a Mechanical Engineer and Maintenance team leader. Achieving the role as team leader in 2023 allowed me to continue maintaining high standards and a healthy workforce within Newhaven Port Authority. This includes being a certified and appointed Mental Health First Aider, a role I enjoy and hugely beneficial to my team and colleagues.I volunteer in my spare time as a Coastguard Rescue Officer and I am based within the Newhaven Coastguard Rescue Team. This has given me the opportunity to develop a new and extensive range of skills, which serves and benefits the community, my colleagues and my home life. I started my career out as a Motor Vehicle Technician at a local family run business in Brighton & Hove. Within a short period I was promoted to becoming MOT test certified. I throughly enjoyed working within this environment and developed many skills and qualifications that have allowed me to progress onto my new role and career path.
