About Kris Keehl

Kris Keehl is a journalism graduate from San Diego State who possesses the desire to take your organization to new heights with a unique blend of skills and experience.As a journalism student, Kris developed a necessary skills for tracking down information and being able to communicate it in a concise and clear manner. He further honed these skills while working at the San Diego Union-Tribune. While proud of his writing experience and editorial experience, he also boasts a minor in entrepreneurship. During his entrepreneurship study, Kris formed a partnership with another student and entered a business competition. The goal: develop a business idea into a start up company. By writing business plan, conducting market research, and pitching the idea to a panel of esteemed, local entrepreneurs, he learned what it meant to apply classroom knowledge in a practical and demanding setting. Outside of the classroom, Kris has dedicated himself to a life of public service, and is currently a Paramedic- Field Training Officer in the largest Emergency Medical Services Agency in San Diego County. Working as a paramedic has taught Kris how to handle situations with a sense of urgency while still remaining calm in every scenario. In addition, paramedicine has further sharpened his abilities to digest large amounts of information in a short amount of time. It has also molded Kris into a leader and communicator with experience that most others lack. In addition to his layers of experience and his formal education, it is worth noting that Kris possesses a work ethic that is unlikely to be found elsewhere. While working as a full-time paramedic, Kris took a full schedule of classes at San Diego State. He didn’t just graduate, he graduated with honors. On account of his dedication to both his work and academics, Kris was admitted to Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. Kris is looking for what’s next in his career.
