I am a results driven, customer service focused management professional. I understand that without personability; no business, regardless of industry, can have true profitability. In today's competitive world, VERY few businesses are willing to go the extra mile to truly take care of the customer; but rather want to only do the bare minimum necessary to fulfill their obligation to that customer. I feel that by giving my customers that something extra that they do not get anywhere else, they will be a client for life. I began my customer service career at the age of seventeen. My very first job was with an independent car rental agency. I was originally hired to clean cars and prepare them for customers to rent. In a very short time, my supervisor realized my potential and trained me for duty at the rental counter. Within a few months, I was placed in charge of a rental office specializing in luxury vehicles and SUV's. From that position, I moved on to construction and gardening equipment rentals. I took a position at another independent small business and quickly became know in my community as the one to see for any home improvement or construction project. It was well known that if I didn't have whatever you were looking for, I would find out who did. This is what it means to go the extra mile for your customers. This attitude, quickly propelled me to management status within the company. Under my management, the business grew and was prospected for buyout (and eventually acquired) by a larger, more diverse rental company. I have worked in various other fields, aside from rentals, including industrial air systems, RV & towing, garage door wholesale, and underground utilities; but all in the customer service field. I have become know as "the expert" in whatever field I am currently working; by making sure that I know all that I can about my industry. I take that knowledge and apply it to the benefit of my customers, and in turn my company.
