• Recognized for achieving a $40MM cost savings by establishing and implementing a new lean process, negotiating Alliance Agreement with a key supplier, and implementing inventory agreement for major equipment.• Strategically negotiate new agreements and perform sourcing events that have delivered annual cost savings averaging $30MM per year. • Significant contributor in creating and implementing contractor database for global utilization.• In charge of the development and execution of category management strategies for the Rockies and Permian basin.• Execute category plans, strategic sourcing initiatives, and contract negotiations in support of leveraging Marathon’s spending.• Conduct spend and market intelligence analysis to identify and leverage key opportunities that deliver value, optimize suppliers, and mitigate risk to the business.• Partner with key stakeholders, deliver sourcing initiatives and manage the midstream quarterly business process. • Establish, manage, and monitor KPIs for key suppliers in the Rockies region and facilitate issue resolution related to supplier performance. • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure service, commercial terms, and optimal leverage while maintaining ongoing sourcing strategies and monitoring risks.• Run benchmark studies, gather, and analyze data, and make recommendations for specific strategic sourcing initiatives. • Perform root cause analysis related to supply challenges and/or disruptions.• Serve as the first line of contact for concerns related to interruptions in supply for multiple business lines the business unit for responsible categories.• Actively pursue and identify opportunities for value creation (cost savings, cost avoidance, revenue enhancement) and risk reduction within assigned categories. • Manage categories to optimize the supply base and deliver financial benefit to MPC.
