I teach STEM communication to all undergraduate engineering and computer science students. The course focuses on developing and enhancing students' writing and presentation skills both individually and in a group. I utilize active learning strategies, social media, and hands-on activities to assist students in learning to successfully communicate across a range of professional genres and audiences. I also teach a public speaking course for engineering students that allows them to practice their oral communication skills in a workshop environment.
