After gaining his MA from Duquesne University in 1998, Kris went to work for US Airways as the Manager of the Media Production and Support Group (MPSG). At US Airways Kris oversaw the development of the computer based training system for the Boeing 737-300/400 series aircraft and developed and implemented the data collection tool for the airlines Advanced Qualification Program (AQP).In 2003 Kris founded Hybrid Learning Systems as a company dedicated to developing new and unique solutions for learning applications. In 2010, Hybrid acquired ImpactGames to further its development in gaming and socially responsible initiatives. ImpactGames portfolio includes the critically acclaimed game “Peacemaker” as well as the “Play the News” platform that was the basis for the DevLearn, DemoFest best of show winning game “Play the Election”.An entrepreneur in the learning and development industry for over fourteen years, Kris was introduced to 3D printing in 2007. In 2012 while attending a conference Kris was inspired to formalize his concept to create a non-profit organization that used 3D printing to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) principles as well as entrepreneurship. This dream was realized in 2013 when The Additive Project was formed and delivered an open source, online 3D printing curriculum that was intended for programs in underserved communities.In 2016 Kris joined the S. Kent Rockwell Foundation and began to focus on conservation, education, and entrepreneurship by supporting organizations that worked in these fields. In 2022 Kris started AoS Ventures, a small venture capital group that focused on technology related companies in the Pittsburgh area and in 2023 Kris joined Piper, a company that builds STEM computer kits for middle school programs.Along with his current position as a President and Trustee of the S. Kent Rockwell Foundation, Kris also serves on the board of The Kiski School, For Good PGH, Trout Unlimited Headwaters and the Minority Outdoor Alliance.
