I have over a decade of bookkeeping experience in the IT, marketing, and real estate industries. My previous roles empowered me to flex my innate organizational skills, deductive reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and love of a good spreadsheet. In the past 2 years, I've overhauled collections procedures, developed training materials, and spearheaded a successful migration from QBs Desktop to QBO. I get excited about new opportunities that welcome my creativity while encouraging professional development and personal growth. I found my calling in this detail-oriented, often tedious career after a decade of trying to figure out where my music composition degree and other artistic pursuits might take me. I learned that it's okay to stay passionately committed to the arts through hobbies and volunteer work, while thriving professionally in a field that rewards objectivity and the ability to literally hyper-focus on data entry and crunching numbers for long stretches at a time. I pride myself on accuracy and clear, direct communication. Collections and HR certainly require a more charismatic approach, but I find that every facet of my job is enhanced by the soft-skills I gained as a music instructor, composer, performer, customer service rep, and tattoo artist. Integrating these important parts of my identity has been extremely gratifying.
