The customer services manager part of this role involved frequent contact with the client at the highest levels to resolve any issues and complaints. I also worked with the client to improve and maintain our high levels of communication and good working relationship. As there was no responsive supervisor during my time in this role, I also took on many of the tasks related to responsive management, such as being first point of escalation to our operatives, out of hours management, as well as technical and contractual guidance. I was the main support to the contract manager and stepped in to cover for her when she was out of the office, including any issues with company vehicles, secondary escalations and working directly with the regional operations manager.
