Houston, Texas Area

I began working for Nordstrom in Houston in September 2008 as a Barista. In this position, my duties included preparing beverage orders, ringing up customers and upselling to generate business for the coffee bar. We truly worked by the model “the customer is always right”. After working in the E-bar for six months, I was presented with the opportunity to promote within the company to a sales position in our Women's designer department. In the designer sales department, each sales agent is taught to operate in the same manner that we would operate our own boutique working with many high profile clientele including celebrities and members of foreign royal families. I put together wardrobes for special occasions, work, travel and everyday wear. Often times with only a phone meeting the client. In 2009, I transferred to Nordstrom at The Grove and continued in a similar position in the Dresses department.

Houston, Texas Area

As a self-employed mortgage loan processor, I went out and developed clientele through networking events and social media. My role was the processing of commercial, residential, land, lot and construction purchases and refinances. The duties included: assisting clients in the completion of loan applications, obtaining credit reports, obtaining employment verifications, requesting title reports, ordering appraisals and home inspections as well as any other documentation deemed necessary by the lender in order to close the mortgage loan.

Tarzana, Ca

My duties consisted of the opening and closing of 3 locations (Tarzana, Encino and Pasadena), handling cash registers, greeting customers and customizing cookies, cakes, muffins and gift baskets orders for our individual, corporate and celebrity clientele.

Torrance, Ca

My main functions included processing phone, internet, email and mail orders. I was also responsible for manually processing all checks and credit cards payments, establishing credit accounts for our corporate clients, light collections and bookkeeping.
